My name is Kyra Bowman, I am a psychology major who is interested in sustainable living in our today’s crazy world.
I became interested in sustainability after taking a course in it and realizing I had more to give to the climate crisis than just my thoughts and worries. I became actively involved with Break Free from Plastic, Be the Solution and other local plastic clean-ups and audits.
During this time, I had taken one of my now numerous trips to Iceland, where my significant other grew up and currently lives in. I fell in love with their way of life, and their conscious efforts to be so self-reliant with so little resources. I began to wonder how they could do so much more with so much less, and hope to break down how they can inspire us to do the same.
